Join us to run or walk our beautiful, USATF certified 5k race route! Mark your calendars for the 12th Annual Daisy Dash 5k to be held on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. A kids’ Fun Run sponsored by the Valley Shore YMCA will be held at 9:30 am. Now a district-wide event, our PTOs are proud to present this community wide event to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle in our town while raising money for all Westbrook students! The race will feature family friendly activities, food and awards for each division. Thank you in advance for joining our community event and supporting the youth of Westbrook!

Advance Packet Pickup:

Friday, March 21 from 3PM to 6PM

Marathon Sports, 238 Main St, Old Saybrook

Race-day packet pickup will also be available.

RACE DAY:

Parking:

We encourage all participants to carpool, as parking onsite fills up quickly. Volunteers will be onsite to help direct parking in the following locations:

1. Daisy Ingraham School front parking lot.

2. Westbrook Public Library UPPER parking lot ONLY - the bottom lot is reserved for library patrons.

3. Along the side of the road leading into Daniel Wren Park.

4. Oxford Academy parking lot on Route 1.

Registration:

Race Day Registration will be available ONLINE ONLY-NO CASH for both the Kids Fun Run and the 5K until 30 minutes before race time.

Race day registrations are not guaranteed a race shirt. Extras will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Same day 5K registrations are $38; Kids Fun Run registrations are $10.

Race Day Events:

The Kids Fun Run kicks off behind the school at 9:30am. Thank you to our good friends at the Valley Shore YMCA for organizing and running this fun event! It's a great way to get the whole family involved!

The 5K Run/Walk starts in our front bus circle at 10am.

We will have kids activities setup in front of the school to keep the kids (and young at heart) entertained throughout the morning.

Bring a little extra cash to grab a quick burst of energy from our bake sale or enter our raffle for a chance to win some great prizes donated by our sponsors!

Our awards ceremony will take place near the school entrance shortly following the 5K. Please stick around to cheer on our star runners! We will be drawing our raffle winners at this time, as well.

Course Description:

USATF certified course (Event License ID: #149019) begins at Daisy Ingraham Elementary School and proceeds down the hill to Boston Post Road.

Runners take a right onto Boston Post Rd. and proceed onto South Main Street by taking a left, then briefly return to Boston Post Road.

Runners proceed onto Seaside Avenue by taking a left.

Picturesque views of Long Island Sound as the race continues on Seaside Avenue to the turnaround point.

Race reverses and finishes back at Daisy.
